June Cooking Class

A patio event is always the goal, but even if the weather isn’t on our side, we’ll be cooking up some great food for patio dinners at home!

IN THIS CLASS YOU WILL LEARN A BRIEF HISTORY ALONG WITH THE TECHNIQUES TO:

Prepare avocado, lima bean, and hearts of palm for a lovely summer salad.

Make mayonnaise from scratch, as well as a Ponzu salad dressing.

Select and clean a beef tenderloin, trim into filet mignons, and pan sear in butter before finishing in the oven.

Create a garlic-herb pan sauce from the drippings of the filet.

Clean and cook the Peruivan root vegetable, Yuca, to prepare a purée.

Sauté brussel sprouts.

Prepare and caramelize an espresso crème brûlée.

We’re taking a tour through Burgundy!

We offer a uniquely French experience at Manna. Now we want to explore a few of the many appellations of Burgundy with Michael Schiaparelli of Skurnik Wines.

Wine pairings to come with an endive, toasted walnuts, and comté salad, gougère with a prosciutto dipping sauce, beef bourguignon empanada, Coq au Vin Blanc, served with jasmine rice and roasted summer vegetables, and finishing with pineapple palmier napoleon and passionfruit coulis

Pont Neuf Wine Dinner

Pont Neuf was born out of the desire to make Californian wines with a French accent.

We welcome winemaker Douglas Danielak who, after studying in France and returning to the United States, sought to create a bridge between Old World and New. Alongside his wife, Mary, Douglas began his pursuit of perfection in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Douglas shares wines crafted with the finesse and balance of Burgundy and the pure intensity of California.

Pont Neuf Pinot Noir ‘La Vouge’ and Pinot Noir ‘La Source’ paired with Maple Leaf Farm’s duck breast medallions, a quince and pancetta gastrique, with roasted fingerling potatoes and poached pears
